Datsun mi-DO from our park regularly gives occasion for reports. I had not timed to get used to the fact that everything was working, as there was a new misfortune.
This time, the multimedia system was screwed up. At one point, the screen showed an error. And the screen itself did not react at all to touch. Something similar has already happened before. Also, it was treated by a banal system restart. Only once did it take to restart the engine. Because I quietly rebooted multimedia. Did not help. Well, then we’ll try to restart the car. And again without results …
I again have to go to the official service center. Benefit mileage was approaching 45,000 kilometers, which means the time has come for the next maintenance. In addition, besides the non-working multimedia system, I have accumulated questions. First, the valve cover gasket leaked. And secondly, the “parking brake”, which we already regulated, is again weakened.
At one point the multimedia system hung. And on the screen appeared such a window with an error. It turns out that such a nuisance can be eliminated by holding the power button for 24 seconds.
When I arrived at Major, on Novorizhskoe highway, I told the master everything. He promised to do a diagnosis and, if necessary, to repair the entertainment complex of Datsun. However, he warned that if the case is non-guaranteed, then the diagnosis will have to be paid. Who would doubt that! Not at all surprised (precedents with denial of the guarantee we have already happened), I still asked how this could be a non-guaranteed case. What had to be done to keep the system tight? Master calmly replied that the screen and the insides of the system could pour Coca-Cola! It would be interesting to look at this …

No payment was required. The case turned out to be a guarantee. The system was reset and everything worked. By the way, the master for the future suggested how to reset the multimedia system independently: to do this, you must hold the power button for a long time. But I kind of did it. It turned out that I did not press the button long enough. It needs to be held for 24 seconds! If God forbid, the system again breezes – I’ll definitely try.
Though for diagnostics it was not necessary to pay, THAT itself appeared not cheap by Datsun standards – ten thousand rubles. In addition to regular work, the valves had to be adjusted (the second time in 45,000 km), the replacement of the valve cover gasket, and the retraction of the parking brake.
I have not forgotten about the lost stub of the front left-hand fender cover because it became the culprit of problems with the automatic box. But this lid is not sold separately, only assembled with a sash. At first, upset. However, all the fun is worth 500 rubles. Because I bought the fender cover and just asked to rearrange the necessary part. Once again I was convinced that even with the Datsun emblem it is still a VAZ, and the prices for spare parts are appropriate. Last time a similar story was with the lid of the washer fluid. Separately, it was also not sold, so I had to buy it with the tank … for 120 rubles!
Well, the serviceman Datsun continued his service in the editorial office and began to approach the first serious milestone of 50,000 km. Let’s hope that he will approach him without any new problems.
