Tesla has produced 300,000 electric vehicles
Despite the fact that Tesla continues to experience difficulties with the production of machines, the new electric cars continue to slowly but surely leave the factory conveyor. The company’s quarterly report indicated that the manufacturer produced 286,000 cars, and more recently the board of directors noted that Ilon Mask coped with the task by completing all the points of his compensation plan, which included the task of making 300,000 cars by the beginning of 2018. It is the number of machines that the company has been able to produce since its inception.
It may seem that 300,000 electric cars – quite a bit, but, when compared with other manufacturers of machines with electric drives, it becomes clear that the result is very good. Nissan, for example, has been selling its electric Leaf already since 2011, but only in the past month has it been possible to achieve similar Tesla figures. And this despite the fact that the company Ilona Mask began to produce large quantities of cars only in 2013.
Recall that the shareholders of Tesla decided not to pay Mask salary, replacing it with tranches, which the head of the company will receive after the implementation of the plan, scheduled for a certain period. With the tasks assigned to him at the moment, Mask has almost completely figured out – the construction of 300,000 cars was also included in the list of compulsory cases. The current quarter will end only next month, and the head of the company faces yet another unrealized task – to ensure the achievement of gross profit of 30 percent or more for four consecutive quarters. But, according to preliminary results, the company has not yet reached this figure.
